Privacy Policy

Deadzone ("the game") is made by Caspian Forge. This policy explains what information the game handles and why.
What the game stores itself
- Game progress stays on your device. This covers missions and stars, Supply, upgrades, settings and records. It is saved in the device's local storage. It is not sent to us, and there are no accounts.
- We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or any other personal information.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the game crashes or hits a serious error, a crash report is sent to Google's Firebase Crashlytics so we can find and fix the problem. A report contains:
- the error and stack trace (which part of the game's code failed);
- device model, operating system version, app version, free memory and disk space;
- a random installation identifier created by Crashlytics. This is not your advertising ID, and it does not identify you by name.
Crash reports are used only to fix bugs, never for advertising. Google keeps them for 90 days. See https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game can show optional rewarded video ads, for example "watch an ad to revive" or "×2 Supply". Ads are served by Google AdMob. When ads are enabled, Google may collect and process:
- device and advertising identifiers (the Android Advertising ID, or the iOS IDFA only if you allow tracking);
- device information such as model, operating system and language, plus your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- ad interactions, such as whether an ad was shown or completed.
Google uses this information to deliver, measure and personalise ads, and to prevent fraud. See Google's policy on how it uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Your choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: when you first start the game, a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) asks for your choices. You can change them any time under Settings → Privacy choices.
- iOS: the game asks for permission before any tracking. If you decline, you still get ads, just not personalised ones.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Watching ads is always optional. The game can be played in full without them.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If the game starts handling data differently, for example by adding analytics, this policy will be updated first and the date above will change.
